Spirals and Ripples
The Symbolism Behind My Logo

The Spiral
For millennia the spiral has been a portal of spiritual practice. It is found in medieval labyrinths, etched on stone carvings, and represented in ancient texts. It is the doorway that leads between our world and the next, between the conscious and the subconscious, between the physical self and the higher self.
Walking the Spiral
For me, walking the spiral has been reflected often in the work I've done on myself and my personal issues. Time and time again, I come around to an issue I've worked on before, but this time I'm further in on the spiral. It's not that I didn't do the work before, it's just that this time I'm doing it on a deeper level. Accepting the spiral means that each time these issues return, it is as though I am greeting an old friend once more.
Going Deeper
The spiral also speaks of going deeper, of delving the depths of the spirit. We follow the spiral down into the underworld to seek our power animals. We follow it up to meet with our angels. We take the next turn in the pattern to discover what it reveals about us that we didn't see clearly before.
Ripples
I once handed my business card to someone and he mentioned that it looked like ripples in a pond. And, in many ways, the work I do is like that. Each person I touch, each business I shift, each event I run has an effect that is more than just that moment in time. The ripples range out into the world around me in ways both seen and unseen. They bring about changes that I cannot imagine. And so I strive to make sure that the original ripple stems from a place of peace and happiness, knowing that in doing so, that is what I am propagating into the world.
